NO, No, No I don't mean these two legendary nutters Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung who aren't even real Twins, But we are not getting into that right now. No the twins effect I am talking about is in gaming this year the evil twins Micky and Lou from FarCry New Dawn and Jess and Soph from Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
There were a lot of really good games last year from Horizon new dawn, Assassins Creed through to Tomb Raider but I will be honest I have not finished and in some cases didn't even get half way through some of these games losing interest for a variety of reasons. Yet there was one game I just could not stop playing FarCry 5, it was my first FarCry game and the only one that got my attention in the FarCry series. The main reason for this would probably be the whole David Koresh Waco theme to it and I don't care what anyone says its a hell of a fucking game. So when they announced that we would be returning to Hope County 17 years after the mind blowing ending event of FC5 my interest was immediately peeked. Especially when I found out that Joseph Seed and Edens Gate where still knocking about and that you have no choice but to team up with them in this game I was sold.
Now the other game I have been waiting for since its reveal trailer is Wolfenstein Youngblood though I haven't played Colossus I did play New Order which I loved. Now the thought of playing such a game as New Order but as twins is just intriguing as yes I was one of the few that loved Assassins Creed Syndicate. I had so much fun playing as both Jacob and Evie in their mad campaigns I am hoping for something as much fun as that for Youngblood.
But anyway it struck me as funny that the two games I am looking forward to playing this year both happen to have twins one set the main protagonist the other set the villains. And as last year there are many highly anticipated games coming this year but while everyones getting all excited about Apex Legends, Anthem, The Last of us 2 and Days gone to mention but a few I am a lot more excited about these smaller titles due to the simple fact of the fun of playing them in the past and how fucking well they tell their stories and simply because they are something a little different to the above mentioned games. So here's hoping my twin affect gaming year is as good as I think it is going to be, and if it come even slightly close to Syndicate I am going to be one happy bunny with a shotgun.
UH am not really to sure what to say, it really tried to be a good film and it really tried to follow the games plot. Parts of it work really well such as the roof top chase is amazing and some of the Abstergo stuff is really good but other scene don't work at all and look a real mess the coach chase is terrible it really doesn't work.Story wise its simplified a little too much and just as it starts getting interesting and you think this might just be going somewhere they then suddenly rush to the end which is flat and although open for a sequel you just don't care.
Shame should have been so much better, some good scenes but as a whole its very forgettable.
If you are a RE gamer then you know just how confusing it is trying to follow the lore as the games don't come out in any chronological order. But GamerThumbTV over on youtube has put the whole history together in order. It s a grate watch but its a time investment as there a 6 parts to it. You can follow the rest from this ling enjoy
Playstation emailed me last night with some Far Cry news and now I am really Hyped as Fay Cry 5 was the only game I could not put down this year. And come Feb 2019 the story continues set 17 years after the mind-blowing ending of Far Cry 5 we are back in what's left of Hope County with a very different kind of threat and God am I looking forward to it, roll on feb.
This all came about because for some reason I can't explain I have become really fascinated with Metro Exodus trailers, I don't know why it appeals to me so much it just does. Seeing as how we are still waiting for it to be released I thought I would give Metro Last Light a go in preparation.
And I am really enjoying it so far though its a bit on the sly side as it is gradually getting harder and harder the farther you progress and I am only at the start so far so god only knows how though thinks are going to get.
Not to be confused with Hana and Alice no that comes later even though it was made before, yes that's right this is the prequel to 2004's Hana and Alice. Now Hana and Alice originally was a set of short films made specifically to advertise KitKat which is why KitKat also makes a very obvious appearance in the animation.
Not that I have a problem with any of that as it gave us Hana and Alice and whenever people talk about either film Kitkat never comes up unless like now you are explain the history. Hana and Alice was so popular that the short got turned into the feature we all know and love.
But back to the prequel which is just as crazy and funny as it should be it was obviously done with grate love and affection and is an amazing mix of animation styles that all just work so beautifully together. It is a breath taking work fully worthy of carrying it's tittle, I loved it.
